November 15, 2014 – India Festival of Tampa Sponsorship

The firm sponsored the 27th annual India Festival of Tampa Bay, one of the most popular Indian cultural events in the United States. The event annually draws over 10,000 attendees from throughout the Southeastern United States. Navin set up a booth at the event and spoke to attendees about the firm’s legal services.


November 14, 2014 – SABA Florida Diversity Leadership Forum and Annual Meeting

Young Businessperson of the Year Award Navin organized and attended SABA Florida's annual diversity leadership forum and annual meeting at Thomas L. Cooley Law School. Navin moderated a panel on diversity in the legal profession. Navin ended his presidential term for SABA Florida and becomes the immediate past president for the 2015 year.


September 30, 2014 – Guardianship Pro Bono Client

Navin finalized a pro bono guardianship case where the Judge awarded Navin's client with full guardianship of the client's mentally disabled adult son. The case took over a year to process given the complex guardianship law issues in place.


May 14, 2014 – Navin moderates real estate and estate planning law panel at Cooley Law School

On behalf of the Real Property, Probate, Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar, Navin moderated a career panel at Cooley Law School covering career opportunities in real estate law and estate planning law.


January 11, 2014 – Wills for Heroes

On an early Saturday morning, Navin had the privilege of assisting local police officers and sheriff's deputies with estate planning needs through the Hillsborough County Bar Association's Pro Bono Wills for Heroes Program.


November 8, 2013 – Navin installed as President of South Asian Bar Association of Florida ("SABA Florida")

Young Businessperson of the Year Award Navin and Karan both attended SABA Florida's annual Leadership Diversity Forum and Annual Meeting in Miami on November 8, 2013. Navin was duly installed to serve as President of SABA Florida for 2014. In this capacity, Navin will lead hundreds of Florida attorneys and law students in furtherance of the organization's mission to assist with legal issues facing the South Asian community while also promoting the advancement and recognition of the South Asian Bar throughout the country. SABA Florida will proudly host the 2015 national SABA conference, to be held in Orlando and attended by up to 800 attorneys and legal professionals. Please see www.sabafl.org.


September 7, 2013 - Young Businessperson of the Year Award

Young Businessperson of the Year Award Navin received the Young Businessperson of the Year Award on Saturday September 7, 2013 at the Tampa Bay Indo-US Chamber of Commerce Annual Gala, The Banyan Ball. The Chamber recognizes the professional achievements of its members (and nonmembers) based on very competitive criteria for the select few awards that are handed out. Navin received the award beating out some of Tampa Bay's fastest rising stars for candidates ages 35 and younger.


February, 2013 – Advisory Committee of the Florida Bar Leadership Academy

Advisory Committee of the Florida Bar Leadership Academy Navin was honored to be appointed by the President of the Florida Bar to serve on the planning and advisory committee of the inaugural Florida Bar Leadership Academy, a two-year training program designed to assist a young and inclusive group of lawyers in becoming better leaders. Navin will serve on this committee through 2015.


February 16, 2013 - Hillsborough County Bar Association Diversity Networking Event

Advisory Committee of the Florida Bar Leadership Academy Navin served as a panelist on behalf of the South Asian Bar Association of Florida at the Hillsborough County Bar Association Diversity Networking Event. The event was attended by over 100 law students who learned about the importance of diversity in the legal profession while networking with law firms, voluntary bar associations and attorneys.


July, 2012 – Navin joins Executive Council of RPPTL and is appointed as Co-Editor of ActionLine

RPPTL After completing the Real Property, Probate Trust Law Section's fellowship, Navin was honored to join the Executive Council of the RPPTL Section and was also appointed to be a Co-Editor of ActionLine. ActionLine is a quarterly publication of the RPPTL Section that focuses on substantive real estate and probate law content. The publication is read by over 10,000 attorneys statewide who practice in these areas of law.


September, 2011 – Navin participates in Leadership Tampa Bay, Class of 2012

Leadership Tampa Bay The counties around Tampa Bay are inextricably bound by geography and culture. Tampa Bay is an important part of Florida whose prosperity and vitality can be best promoted when viewed and guided as a region by enlightened leadership. That is what Leadership Tampa Bay is all about. Each year, class members participate in 10 class days that focus on regional issues and opportunities. The agenda for each class day consists of panel discussions with business, civic and government leaders and facility tours. In addition, each class member participates in an opening retreat, closing retreat and a two day trip to Tallahassee


May, 2010 – Navin selected as a Fellow of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of Florida Bar

RPPTL Navin was selected as a Fellow of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar ("RPPTL"). Through a highly selective process, Navin was one of two real estate attorneys in Florida under the age of 38 awarded the fellowship for a two-year term. As a Fellow, Navin will become directly involved with the substantive work of RPPTL while receiving leadership training from leading real estate practitioners in Florida.


May 15, 2009 – Navin recognized by the Florida Bar News for his pro bono representation of a distressed homeowner.
